This is the layout
of the home page of 2Live Dance Studio website (http://www.2livedancestudio.com/index.php). The main audience of the
webpage are the person who have interest to dance in this studio or the person that
want to invite 2Live Dance Studio to perform for them. The color tone of the
website are black and white. There is the studio’s logo on the upper-left
corner, and a navigation bar next to it. While users put the mouse icon on the
navigation, the text color of that navigation will turn to gray from black. The
users can take a brief look of the contents of this website via this navigation
bar, as this has clear shown the users the details that they can find in the
website. For instance, the dance classes schedule, the introduction of the
instructors, the products, event’s photos and videos, etc. It can navigate
users clearly while using the website. Below the navigation bar, there is a
slideshow with the instructors’ pictures. And today classes, recent news and
video are below the slideshow, letting the users to get the latest information
of the studio in the first second while they are visiting the website. And there
is a bar at the bottom of the website linking to the Facebook, YouTube,
Google+, social media of the studio. It is making the users to contact the
studio easier.

This website have put certain important information into a frame, just like the promotion of the biggest training program of the studio and the special offer for new comers. The website designer put them into a frame and they will pop up on the related page or on the home page. Just like the concept that I have learnt on the lectures, framing can help audience focus attention on certain events, and the frame can rationalize that event to pop up on the page.
For example, 2Live
Dance Studio has a $50 trial lesson fee for new comes, and there is a frame pop
up on the class schedule page. The people who wanted to dance in this studio
are one of the main audience of the website, and most of the visitor to visit
this page should be them. Since in my own experience, regular dance class
student already know the date and time of the classes they have regularly, and
if they are interest on other classes, they can check the classes schedule on the
studio directly while they are there and they can ask question and discuss with
the staff and receptionist there for consider if they want to attend the new
class. So putting the new comers offer promotion on this page is the most suitable
place. It can attract new comers and no need to worry about if it would make
the regular student feel annoying.
The layout and template
of 2Live Dance Studio’s website are very clear and unambiguous. On the “Media”
page, there are the dance video introducing the choreography of the tutor there
and the performance of the students and dances in different show or competition
(For example, Crewmax@ Dance Power 2015 Final).
There is a list on the left hand side of that page, clearly showing the choreographer
and the name of the song, or the team that perform and the show or the competition
they have join. Then the video would appear on the right hand side of the page,
and there are some introduction about the dancers and the dance. Let the
audience and the visitor who wants the invite dancer to perform can easily get
the information about them while watching the video and don’t need to click to
another page to get them.
